For the first time, in the 2021-22 Social Inclusion Index, we look at social inclusion within the workplace.
We found that while Australians are generally satisfied with practices for diversity and equality in their workplaces, however some aspects of inclusion could be improved and for particular industries. Only half of respondents strongly believed that their work fitted the definition of a socially inclusive workplace in which people are treated equally.
We also report on the most common experiences of workplace discrimination, who is most affected and whether people think their employers are doing enough.
Individuals and organisations with a useful resource on social inclusion are encouraged to get in touch so we can direct people to the content.
