The Index shows that people on a low income have lower levels of wellbeing compared with other groups, 50% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples experience discrimination, LGBTIQ+ people had lower levels of identification with Australia and religious and racial minorities were targeted by some of the highest levels of prejudice in Australia, although this has been declining since 2017.
